Selection Process and Important Dates
Students who desire to attend the Health Sciences Academy and live within the Plano ISD boundaries will be provided an opportunity to complete an application. Incoming 9th graders and incoming 10th graders will be selected for admission. If there are more students than available spaces, students will be chosen for admission via lottery. Student selection will be based on a proportionate representation across all middle schools in Plano ISD.
Letters will be mailed in by January 18, 2013, notifying all applicants of the results of the admissions process. Requests for early decisions cannot be honored.
When applicants have been informed that they have been offered admission to the Health Sciences Academy, they will be required to submit an Academy Commitment Letter to secure their spaces by January 25, 2013.
